We aim to make CUWiP accessible to everyone. All meals and accommodation during the conference are organized and the costs are met by CUWiP. You do not need to book or arrange accommodation on Friday or Saturday night.
Travel to the conference is usually paid for by your home department. In cases where
your own department or other sources can not cover the cost, there are funds
available to provide support travel to CUWiP. In order to access those funds, please email the organizing committee to request travel support before December 5, 2023.
Travel costs will typically be reimbursed after the conference. Before you book a plane ticket or any other travel ticket costing more than $100, you must first email the cost and itinerary to cuwip@mail.wvu.edu to receive advance permission. Significant costs which are not pre-approved may not be reimbursed.
Travel to Morgantown
Driving: Morgantown is located at the intersection of I-79 and I-68. Conference site address is 135 Willey Street, Morgantown, WV 26506-6315. We encourage participants to carpool where possible as parking is limited.
Flying: Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) is serviced by 14 airlines and offers nonstop service to 68 U.S. cities. The airport is less than a 1.5-hour drive to campus.
Morgantown Municipal Airport (MGW) offers daily service to Baltimore-Washington International and Pittsburgh International Airport. North Central West Virginia Airport (CKB) offers service to Chicago O'Hare, Washington Dulles, and others.
Accommodations
Students will be assigned two to a room, each room with two double beds, one bed per person. Participants may specify roommate preferences on the application; otherwise, roommates will be assigned by the organizing committee. Your room assignments will be emailed to you prior to arrival. If you need to make alternative hotel arrangements or have any concerns, please email us at cuwip@mail.wvu.edu.
Speakers will be assigned a room reservation by the site. Non-undergraduate attendees, and chaperones may also be provided with a room reservation but will be responsible for the cost of the accommodation. Please contact us to arrange accommodations.
