We will be using Slack for communications during the conference. Organizers will share the Slack channel information before the conference dates. 

You may also consider downloading the Kahoot application for the chance to play games/quizzes for a chance to win prizes.

The keynote speaker session will use Slido for questions to the speaker, Dr. Jocelyn Bell-Burnell. Once you download the Slide app, you will be provided an entry code unique to the session that will allow you to type in your questions to the speaker.

Weather: Please plan to dress appropriately for the weather including comfortable walking shoes. You will be walking outside, and the chances of snow are high in January. Consider bringing a warm coat, gloves, and overall comfortable clothing. 

The average temperature in  Morgantown in January for a typical day ranges from a high of 36°F (2°C) to a low of 21°F (-6°C). Some would describe it as really cold with a gentle breeze.

  • White Hall: Room 223-Asl a volunteer for access. Additional offices can be made available, just let us know.

  • Mountainlair: Dedicated Room (2nd floor, next to Student Union Administrative Office). Amenities: Locking door, electrical outlet, chair, table; dedicated room has changing table (equipped with diapers).

Morgantown Personal Rapid Transit (WVU PRT) is a personal rapid transit (PRT) system in Morgantown, West Virginia. The system connects the three Morgantown campuses of West Virginia University (WVU).
